Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • STEP 2.In a food processor, pulse the flour, sugar, and salt until combined.
  • STEP 3.Add the cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • STEP 4.Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, and pulse until the dough comes together.
  • STEP 5.Press the dough into a tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  • STEP 6.In a saucepan, whisk together the passion fruit juice, sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • STEP 7.Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the butter until melted. Pour the custard into the baked tart shell.
  • STEP 8.Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours, until set.
