Ingredients for Papaya Achar Recipe

  • 0.08 Raw papaya chopped medium size
  • 1/2 No.s Lemon water
  • 0.17 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 1/50 teaspoon Homemade pickle powder
  • 1/25 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Chopped ginger
  • 1/4 tablespoon Chopped garlic
  • 1/50 cup Vinegar

Directions: Papaya Achar Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate chopped papaya with lemon water and 2 tsp salt. Refrigerate for 2-3 days
  • STEP 2.Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan. Splutter 1 tsp mustard seeds.
  • STEP 3.Add 2 chopped dry red chilly and 1 stem of curry leaves. Saute well.
  • STEP 4.Add 3 tbsp of chopped ginger and garlic each. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder and ¼ tsp of homemade pickle powder and saute it for 2 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Now transfer the marinated chopped papaya into the gravy and mix well.
  • STEP 7.Pour in ¼ cup of vinegar and mix well. Turn off the flame and refrigerate in an airtight container for 4-5 days.
