Easy and quick Portuguese fluffy bread with coconut crust recipe. The dough has lemon zest, a little bit of rum and a splash of vanilla. These three ingredients are wonderful together. The dough is very fluffy. And after the kneading time, its so much easier to handle. The mixture for the coconut crust is used as a topping. Some pieces of the coconut crust make the bread even more irresistable while cooking them a little more and making them more crispy. Mouthwatering.

Ingredients for Pão De Dues Recipe

  • As required Dough
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 0.33 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast
  • 2 No.s Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Rum
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 3 cup All purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • As required Coconut crust
  • 2 cup Coconut
  • 1 No.s egg

Directions: Pão De Dues Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, add milk, 2 tbsp sugar, water and yeast. Mix for 5 minutes. Add eggs, rum, vanilla, the rest of sugar and lemon zest.

  • STEP 1.Now beat this mixture using a hand blender. Now add flour and knead.

step 3

  • STEP 2.Add butter in the dough. Knead for 10 minutes. Let it rest for an hour.

step 4

  • STEP 3.Now divide dough in portions and form buns. Put them in a greased tray. Preheat the oven at 180 degree celsius.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Now add coconut crust to the top of each bread. Bake for 25 minutes. Take out and serve fresh.
