Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak moong dal in water for 4-5 hours and drain the water.
  • STEP 2.In a blender, grind the soaked moong dal, paneer, ginger, green chili, and salt into a smooth batter.
  • STEP 3.Heat a non-stick griddle and pour a ladleful of the batter. Spread it in a circular motion to make a thin chilla.
  • STEP 4.Cook the chilla on medium heat until it turns golden brown on both sides.
  • STEP 5.Repeat the process to make more chillas.
  • STEP 6.In a bowl, mix crumbled paneer, chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander leaves, and spices.
  • STEP 7.Place a chilla on a plate and spread a layer of the paneer filling. Repeat the process to make a stack of chillas.
