Ingredients for Paneer Matar Pulao Recipe

  • As required Ingredients for Tempering
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fennel seeds
  • 2 No.s Cardamoms
  • 1/2 stick Cinnamon inch
  • 1 No.s Bay leaf
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 6 No.s Garlic Cloves Finely Chopped
  • 2 No.s Green chillies slit
  • 2 No.s Onions thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Basmati rice washed
  • 200 gram Paneer cubes
  • 1/4 cup Steamed peas
  • As required Mint leaves for garnish A few

Directions: Paneer Matar Pulao Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a preheated pan add 1 tbsp ghee, ½ tsp fennel seeds, 2 cardamoms, ½ inch cinnamon stick and 1 bay leaf torn. Saute and allow the spices to sizzle.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Next add 1 inch finely chopped ginger, 6 cloves of garlic finely chopped and 2 slit green chillies. Saute for 30 seconds.

  • STEP 1.Then add 2 onions thinly sliced and saute till onions soften and turn slightly brown.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add 1 cup washed basmati rice, 2 cups water and salt to taste and saute for about a minute.

  • STEP 1.Pressure cook for 2 whistles and allow the pressure to release naturally.

step 6

  • STEP 1.In a preheated pan add 1 tbsp ghee, 200 gms paneer cubes, ¼ cup steamed peas and salt to taste.

  • STEP 1.Saute for a minute till the paneer softens.

step 8

  • STEP 1.Spoon the cooked rice into a serving bowl and add the sauteed peas and paneer. Mix to combine.

  • STEP 1.Garnish with chopped mint leaves.
