Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, marinate the paneer cubes with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated paneer cubes until golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
  • STEP 3.In the same pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and cinnamon stick. Saute until fragrant.
  • STEP 4.Add finely chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add tomato puree, cashew nut paste, and the remaining spices. Cook until the oil separates from the gravy.
  • STEP 6.Add water to adjust the consistency of the gravy and bring it to a boil.
  • STEP 7.Add the fried paneer cubes and simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
