  • 0.06 cup Split Green Gram

  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Garam Masala

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the lentils for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the lentils with water, turmeric powder, and salt until soft.
  • STEP 3.Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and dried red chilies.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until fragrant.
  • STEP 5.Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
  • STEP 6.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  • STEP 7.Add the cooked lentils and mix well.
  • STEP 8.Add red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • STEP 9.Simmer the dal for 10-15 minutes until the flavors are well combined.
  • STEP 10.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
