Ingredients for Panchkhadhya Modak Recipe

  • 0.33 cup dry coconut
  • 2.33 g dry dates
  • 0.67 Tsp poppy seeds(khas khas)
  • 0.17 cup dry fruits (almond pistachios &cashews)
  • 0.67 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1.33 tbsp Cardamom (elaichi)powder
  • 1.33 tbsp Jaggery(finely chopped)

Directions: Panchkhadhya Modak Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat up the pan. Dry roast below ingredients seperately until lightly gloden-brown.
  • STEP 2.Roast 2 tbs khas khas for 5-7 min on medium heat.
  • STEP 3.1 cup dry coconut,grated(remove skin).
  • STEP 4.1/2 cup dry fruits (almonds,pistachios & cashews)
  • STEP 5.Now add 2 tsp ghee in pan
  • STEP 6.Roast 7-8 dry kharek (remove seeds). Let it cool down
  • STEP 7.Grind roated coconut &khas khas together.
  • STEP 8.Now grind roasted dry fruits alon 3-4 elaichi powder.
  • STEP 9.Gring roasted dry dates to make powder (alternatively you can use dry dates powder).
  • STEP 10.Transfer this mixture in a mixing bowl. Add 3-4 tbs gur,finely chopped (powder is optional).
  • STEP 11.Add 2-3 tbs ghee.Mix everything with hand.
  • STEP 12.Make modak with the help of modak mould(with this mixture you can also make laddus).
  • STEP 13.Bappa ka favourite panchkhadhya modak is ready enjoy your sweat!!!
