Authentic punjabi palak paneer topped with some fresh cream. Palak paneer is a traditional vegetarian dish consisting of paneer in a thick paste made from pureed spinach called palak. It is a classic curry dish from North Indian cuisine madde with fresh spinach, onions, paneer and herbs. The recipe of succulent paneer cubes in a smooth spinach sauce.

Ingredients for Palak Paneer Recipe

  • 500 gram spinach
  • 1.50 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 3/4 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 No.s green chilli
  • 3/4 tablespoon Ginger
  • 2 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 200 gram Paneer
  • 2-3 tablespoon fresh cream

Directions: Palak Paneer Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 boil some water in a pan and add palak leaves to it.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 keep the palak in hot water for 1-2 minutes and then put it in icy cold water.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 squeeze the extra water out and blend it using a blender.

step 4

  • STEP 4.1 heat some oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, garlic, green, chilli, ginger and onions.

step 5

  • STEP 5.2 cook this for about 2 minutes till the onions turn translucent and then add the spinach paste to it.

step 6

  • STEP 6.3 cook it for 3 minutes and add salt, red chilli powder and cumin powder

step 7

  • STEP 7.4 finally add paneer and mix it.

step 8

  • STEP 8.5 finish it with some cream and give it a quick stir.
