  • 1/2 cup Chopped Spinach
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak rice and lentils for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, cloves, and cinnamon.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped spinach, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 5.Drain the soaked rice and lentils and add them to the cooker.
  • STEP 6.Add water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
  • STEP 7.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and fluff the khichdi with a fork.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
