  • 0.33 cup Gram flour
  • 0.33 cup Rice flour
  • As required Salt
  • 0.33 teaspoon Kashmiri Chilli powder
  • 0.17 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Fennel powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Asafoetida powder
  • 0.17 cup Water
  • As required Oil for cooking
  • 0.33 Curry leaves stem

How to Make Pakkavada Recipe

    Cooking Directions

  • To a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, Kashmiri chili powder, pepper, fennel powder, asafoetida, and a pinch of salt to taste.
  • Gently pour in water by mixing the ingredients to form a dough.
  • Grease the interiors of the pakkavada maker with ghee so that dough won’t stick.
  • Fill in the dough into the pakkavada maker
  • Set up a pan. Add oil for frying. Frying would take place on medium flame.
  • Gently turn the lever of the pakkavada maker so that the dough falls directly into the frying pan.
  • Toss theme on both sides, until they are golden brown. Take them out in a pan.
  • In the same pan fry a branch of curry leaves and garnish the crispy hot pakkavada.
  • Storage And Serving Directions

  • Serve with hot cup of tea.
