The sweet and spicy combination that arises from the bananas, green chilies makes it a tasty dish. It is quick with absolutely no use of onion or garlic, making it a simple recipe.

Ingredients for Paka Kela Sabji Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 5 Ripe Bananas cut into thick slices Nos
  • 1/4 cup Besan
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilly powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1 sprig Curry leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • As required Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard or sesame oil to drizzle

Directions: Paka Kela Sabji Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Peel and cut thick slices of 5 ripe bananas.

  • STEP 1.In a preheated pan add 1 tbsp oil, ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp cumin seeds and stir till they crackle.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Then add 1 sprig curry leaf torn and stir for a few seconds. Add ¼ tsp asafoetida, ½ tsp red chilly powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, the sliced bananas and ¼ cup besan. Add salt to taste.

  • STEP 1.At this stage stir the banana and the besan and spices gently but quickly, so that the bananas do not become soft and smash.

step 5

  • STEP 1.After 2 to 3 minutes they should be well coated with the masala. Cover and simmer for another 2 min.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Then open the pan and drizzle a little oil over the dish. Cold pressed oils like mustard or sesame add good flavour.
