Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak tamarind in warm water for 15-20 minutes and extract the juice.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  • STEP 4.Add tamarind juice, jaggery, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or idli.
