Pabda macher shorshe jhal is a traditional way of making any bengali style mustard fish curry recipe. As shorshe bata diye macher jhal is a very common spicy mustard fish curry of our bengali cuisine. Even you can make this fish curry with any other bengali fish too. Except pabda, any freshwater fish like parshe, hilsha, bata, tangra, even small fish like puti, mourola are common bengali fish cooked in this mustard paste gravy.

  • 166.67 g pabda fish
  • 16.67 g tablespoon mustard paste
  • 6.67 g Coriander leaves
  • 1.67 Pieces green chillies – slit or sliced
  • 8.33 g Mustard oil
  • 0.67 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • As Required Salt

  • STEP 1.At First Clean The Fish, and Marinate it with Little Bit of Salt & Turmeric Powder
  • STEP 2.Then , take a frying pan , fried all the fishes in low flame.
  • STEP 3.Now, Take a small bowl, add one cup boil water, 2- 3 teaspoon Mustard & Poppy seeds powder, some green chilli & little mustard oil and Prepare a thick paste of all of them.
  • STEP 4.Then add this paste, on fried fish in frying pan
  • STEP 5.Now Put the lid on it for 5min,
  • STEP 6.Then put off the flame, add one teaspoon of mustard oil , coriander leaves,& 2-3 pieces Green chilly on the prepared pabda fish gravy.
  • STEP 7.Now, Serve it with Steamed Rice and Enjoy it
