Ingredients for Oxtail Noodles Soup Recipe

  • 140 gram Oxtail
  • 110 gram Shanghai noodles
  • 1 teaspoon Schezuan pepper
  • 2 No.s Star anise
  • 2 tablespoon Light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Rice Wine
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • As required Salt
  • 1 teaspoon White Pepper
  • 8 cup Water
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 3 No.s Green Onions
  • 1 Watercress bundle

Directions: Oxtail Noodles Soup Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1. Blanch the oxtails for 3 minutes.

  • STEP 2.Take them out.

step 3

  • STEP 3.Boil 8 cups of water and put the oxtails in it. During simmering check the water level for about every 30 minutes

step 4

  • STEP 4.Add ginger slices, schezuan pepper, star anise, green onions, wine, salt and simmer at low for 3 hours.

step 5

  • STEP 5.Take out the oxtails and remove fatty portions.

step 6

  • STEP 6.Boil the noodled for 1 minute and keep aside.

step 7

  • STEP 7.Blanch 3 oz of watercress and serve aside the noodles.

step 8

  • STEP 8.Scoop some beef broth to serving bowl. Add soy sauce topping, white pepper and one oxtail cut. Garnish with green onions.
