Ingredients for Onion Stalk Chicken Curry (Peyajkoli Murgi) Recipe

  • 200 gms Chicken curry cut
  • 2 stalks Onion
  • 1 tbsp Yoghurt
  • 0.33 tsp Salt
  • 0.33 tsp Ginger paste
  • 1.33 tbsp Mustard oil
  • 1 Pieces Dry Red Chillies
  • 0.67 Pieces Bay leaf
  • 0.67 Pieces Tomato
  • 0.33 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.33 tsp green chilli paste
  • 0.67 g reen chillies
  • 0.67 Pieces Onion

Directions: Onion Stalk Chicken Curry (peyajkoli Murgi) Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt and salt and ginger paste and refrigerate for 2 hours. Then add mustard oil in a kadai and fry the chicken pieces till 75% is cooked.
  • STEP 2.2. Remove the chicken pieces and add 2 tbsp more oil, add bay leaf and dry red chilies. Once the aroma releases add the onions and once they turn slightly brown add the fried chicken, add turmeric powder and salt to taste, and then chopped tomatoes.
  • STEP 3.3. Once the tomatoes get cooked with the chicken add the onion stalks, green chili paste, and cover till the chicken is tender.
  • STEP 4.4. Add 1/2 cup warm water and some green chilies, give a good stir and then cook for a few more minutes and serve hot with steamed rice.
