This raw onion salad from north India can be made with red, white, or sweet onions, depending on your preferences. A dish that is vegan. Onion salad, known as pyaaz ka lachcha in Hindi, is a simple salad made with onion rings. It's a simple side dish that's common in north Indian restaurants and dhabas/roadside eateries. They're frequently served with tandoori or grilled Indian appetisers and munchies. They go well with pulao, biryani, tandoori dishes like paneer tikka, and rich curry dishes like chana masala, paneer butter masala, shahi paneer, kadai paneer or malai kofta, as well as naan or tandoori roti. Thinly sliced onion rings are seasoned with lemon juice, red chilli powder, and salt in this onion rings salad.
