Onion Rava Dosa is an authentic south indian cuisine which is served with coconut chutney. It also goes best with tomato onion chutney.

Ingredients for Onion Rava Dosa Recipe

  • 1/2 Cup Rice flour
  • 1/4 Cup Rava or sooji
  • 0.13 Cup Maida(all purpose flour)
  • 1/2 Tsp Jeera
  • 1/2 Tsp Green chilli
  • 1/4 Tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Curry leaves
  • 2 Cup Water
  • As Required Salt as per taste
  • 1 Pieces Onion

Directions: Onion Rava Dosa Recipe

  • STEP 1.Mix all the dry ingredients i.e. Rice flour, Rava and Maida.
  • STEP 2.Now add salt, jeera, chopped green chilli and curry leaves. Crush Black pepper into coarse powder and add into it.
  • STEP 3.Slowly add water and make a runny batter.
  • STEP 4.Keep it for rest for about 30 minutes
  • STEP 5.Take 2 Onion and chopp it into small pieces
  • STEP 6.For making dosa -
  • STEP 7.1. Take nonstick dosa tawa grease it with little oil and keep flame on high speed.
  • STEP 8.2. Sprinkle 2 tsp chopped onion.
  • STEP 9.3. Pour 1.5 tbsp dosa batter (mix it properly before making rava dosa). Make sure the flame should be high while making dosa.
  • STEP 10.4. Reduce the flame low to medium after 1 minute and pour 1 tsp oil on edges of dosa.
  • STEP 11.(Note - keep flame low to medium so as to make dosa crispy)
  • STEP 12.5. After 3-4 minutes dosa will be prepared
  • STEP 13.6. Serve and enjoy super crispy Onion Rava Dosa with coconut chutney / tomato onion chutney
