A nutritious satvik preparation of red rice cooked without onion or garlic, flavoured with mixed herbs and coloured peppers. Preparation of one pot red rice withut any sausage, chicken or meat while just using olive oil, bell peppers and chilli and low country cooking tale. Perfectly cooked little dish and flavoured rice is an easy and quick to prepare recipe.

Ingredients for One Pot Red Rice No Onion No Garlic Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mixed herbs
  • 1/4 flakes Red chilli tsp
  • 3/4 cup Red rice
  • 1/4 cup Yellow capsicum diced
  • 1/4 cup Red capsicum diced
  • 1 No.s Tomato medium diced
  • As required Salt

Directions: One Pot Red Rice No Onion No Garlic Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a preheated saucepan add 1 tbsp olive, ¼ tsp black pepper powder, ¼ tsp mixed herbs and ¼ tsp red chilli flakes. Saute for 15 to 20 seconds.

  • STEP 1.Add ¾ cup red rice and saute on low heat for 1 minute.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add 2 cups of water, salt to taste and mix. Bring to a boil on high heat for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • STEP 1.Then add ¼ cup diced yellow capsicum, ¼ cup diced red capsicum, 1 medium tomato diced. Mix well.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Continue to cook for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Then cover and cook for 5 to 7 minutes till the water is completely absorbed by the rice. Red rice will be perfectly cooked.

  • STEP 1.7red rice will be perfectly cooked and ready to eat.
