Ingredients for One Pot Chicken Rice Recipe

  • 100 g Chicken
  • 0.67 cup Basmati rice
  • 0.33 cup Milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.33 g Big onion
  • 1 g reen Chilli
  • 0.33 inch Ginger
  • 1.67 g Garlic
  • 0.33 Pieces Bay leaf
  • 1 Pieces Cardamom
  • 1 Pieces Cloves
  • 0.33 Inch Small cinnamon stick
  • 1.33 Pieces Pepper corns
  • 0.17 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 0.17 tsp Garam masala
  • 0.08 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.33 tsp Coriander powder
  • 0.17 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 0.17 tsp Sugar (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 0.33 tsp Ghee
  • 1.33 tbsp Curd
  • as required Salt

Directions: One Pot Chicken Rice Recipe

  • STEP 1.Chicken marination, marinade with curd , salt , 1 tsp red chilli powder for 30 - 45 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Assemble all other ingredients
  • STEP 3.In moderately heated pan add oil, add cumin seeds and all whole spices, Allow to crackle and add chopped onion and sauté till translucent, then add ginger garlic and sauté till onion turns golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Now add coriander powder + turmeric + chilli powder and stir fry masala leaves oil.
  • STEP 5.Now add marinaded chicken and stir fry under medium flame for 7-8 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add left over curd mixture by adding 3-4 tbsp water + garam masala + salt and stir fry for 4-5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Now add milk + water + green chilli + salt (as required) and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • STEP 8.Lower flame and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 9.Add soaked rice and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes under medium to high flame.
  • STEP 10.Now lower flame, cover and cook for 15 - 20 minutes. Check in between by mixing gently. Lastly add ghee, mix well and keep in stand by for 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 11.Dish is ready to serve.
  • STEP 12.Serve hot hot with raita and salad
