Steps To Prepare

  • STEP 1.Soak the rice, add turmeric to it and mix well.
  • STEP 2.Heat a pan and add 2 tbsps of ghee. Roast cashew nuts and raisins and keep them aside for further use.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.To a pan, add ghee along with star anise, green cardamom, cloves and bay leaf and temper them till they are fragrant.
  • STEP 2.Next, add the soaked rice and stir well to incorporate.
  • STEP 3.Add the chopped coconut pieces, salt and sugar along with a glass of water and cook till the rice is cooked.
  • STEP 4.Transfer the rice into a bowl and serve with a dollop of desi ghee.
