Heat a pan and add 2 tbsps of ghee. Roast cashew nuts and raisins and keep them aside for further use.
Cooking Directions
To a pan, add ghee along with star anise, green cardamom, cloves and bay leaf and temper them till they are fragrant.
Next, add the soaked rice and stir well to incorporate.
Add the chopped coconut pieces, salt and sugar along with a glass of water and cook till the rice is cooked.
Transfer the rice into a bowl and serve with a dollop of desi ghee.
