  • 0.13 cup Toor Dal
  • 1/4 cup Mixed Vegetables
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • as required A Few Curry Leaves
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sambar Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Dry roast oats in a pan until they turn slightly golden and aromatic. Set aside.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook toor dal, chopped vegetables, turmeric powder, and salt until dal is cooked well.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and chopped onions. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add sambar powder, cooked dal and vegetables, and roasted oats. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

  • You can add any vegetables of your choice like carrots, beans, peas, etc.
  • Adjust the quantity of sambar powder according to your spice preference.
  • Make sure to roast the oats properly to enhance their flavor.
