  • 1/2 cup Long grain rice
  • 0.19 cup Rice powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required Water
  • As required Cooking Oil
  • 0.38 cup Grated coconut
  • 1/4 Chopped Onion large
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds

How to Make Neypathal Recipe

Preparation Directions

STEP 01

Wash the rice clean.

STEP 02

Soak the rice in water for aroun 4 hours before cooking.

Cooking Directions

STEP 01

Grind the soaked and drained rice in a blender

STEP 02

Crush 1 ½ cup of grated coconut, 1 chopped onion and 2 tsp cumin seed in a grinder. Do not grind into paste.

STEP 03

Add to the ground rice, ¾ cup of rice powder, a pinch of salt and the crushed ingredients.

STEP 04

Mix well.

STEP 05

Take a lemon size ball from the mix. Press flat and shape round with hands.

STEP 06

Fry in a deep fry pan with cooking oil on medium heat. Flip the sides until pale golden colour. Serve with a side dish.
