Ingredients for Nentra Kaya Mezhukupuratti Recipe

  • 4 No.s Peeled and chopped raw plantain
  • 1/2 glass Water
  • As required Salt
  • 2 No.s Dry red chilly
  • 2 No.s Shallots
  • 3 No.s Garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • As required Curry leaves a few

Directions: Nentra Kaya Mezhukupuratti Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.in a pressure cooker and 4 chopped plantains, ½ cup water and a pinch of salt.

step 2

  • STEP 1.cook till the first whistle blows.

step 3

  • STEP 1.crush 3 garlic, 2 shallots and 2 dry red chili in a mortar.

step 4

  • STEP 1.set a pan on the stove with cooking oil. Splutter ½ tsp mustard seeds.

step 5

  • STEP 1.add the crushed mix and a few curry leaves. Saute till the mix turns a pale brown color.

step 6

  • STEP 1.add ½ tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp chili powder. Saute till the raw smell of chili powder is completely gone.

step 7

  • STEP 1.now transfer the cooked plantains. Saute for 3-4 minutes on a medium flame.

step 8

  • STEP 1.turn off the flame and garnish with few curry leaves.
