 A very quick and easy recipe prepared from Nendra pazham Banana and coconut.Nendra Pazham Pulissery Recipe is a wonderful twist on a traditional pulissery that we all know. It is usually has vegetables like ash gourd that is added into the curry but here in this recipe we have created a twist by adding ripened banana that compliments well with the flavor of ground coconut mixture and curd. It is also considered to be a part of baby food that you can make it with less spices.

Ingredients for Nendra Pazham Pulissery Recipe

  • 1/2 cup fresh coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 Nos green chillies
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 Nos Nendra Pazham Banana
  • As required Salt
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1/4 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon urad dal

step 1

  • STEP 1.Grate fresh coconut

  • STEP 2.Grind grated coconut,cumin seeds,green chillies,curry leaves to make a paste.

  • STEP 3.Cut nendra pazham into circular pieces.

  • STEP 4.Cooking directions

  • STEP 5.1.add 1 tbsp oil in a kadai & heat it.

  • STEP 6.2.add turmeric powder

  • STEP 7.3.now add nendra pazham

step 8

  • STEP 8.4.add salt,mix and saute for 3-4 mins until cooked.

  • STEP 9.5.then add grinded paste,curd and mix well.

  • STEP 10.6.stir well and cook it for 3-4 mins.

  • STEP 11.Cooking directions for tadka

  • STEP 12.1.add 1 tbsp oil in a pan & heat it.

  • STEP 13.2.add mustard seeds and let it crackle.

step 14

  • STEP 14.3.now add urad dal and 2 sprigs of curry leaves

step 15

  • STEP 15.4.now pour this tadka onto the pulissery.
