Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the rice in water for 4-5 hours.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and grind the rice with fresh water to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 3.Add salt and mix well.
  • STEP 4.Heat a non-stick pan or griddle and grease it with oil.
  • STEP 5.Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
  • STEP 6.Cover and cook for a minute until the dosa is cooked and edges turn golden brown.
  • STEP 7.Fold the dosa and remove it from the pan.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure the batter is of pouring consistency. If it is too thick, add some water to adjust.
