  • 2 cup Rice
  • 3 screwpine leaves
  • As required salt
  • 5.60 ounce Coconut milk
  • 1 No.s tamarind pulp
  • 2 Nos hard boiled eggs
  • 3 Nos fish small size
  • 1 Nos cucumber
  • As required SAMBAL IKAN BILIS
  • 1/2 Nos red onion
  • 1 cup ikan bilis
  • 1 Nos garlic cloves
  • 4 Nos shallots
  • 10 Nos dried chillies
  • 1 teaspoon belacan
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

How to Make Nasi Lemak Recipe

STEP 01

Cut boiled eggs into half

STEP 02

Soak tamarind pulp in one cup of water for 15 mins

STEP 03

Cut boiled eggs into half

Cut slices into quartered

Wash and drain the rice

STEP 06

Wash and drain the dried anchovies

STEP 07

Grind prawn paste shallots,garlic cloves and deseeded dried chilies and make a paste

STEP 08

1.in a vessel cook rice in water along with coconut milk,pinch of salt and pandan leaves.

STEP 09

2.fry the dried anchovies until they turn brown

STEP 10

3.heat some oil in a pan & fry the spice paste until fragrant.

STEP 11

4.add the onion rings,ikan bilis and mix well.

STEP 12

5.now add tamarind juice,salt,sugar and cook it at low flame until gravy thickens

STEP 13

6.cut small fish into half and season with salt and deep fry it.

STEP 14

7.serve the steamed coconut milk topped with sambal ikan bilis along with fried rice,cucumber slices and hard boiled eggs.
