The Malaysian delight is full of nutrition, taste and everything else you need in a wholesome meal. The dish usually consists of rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves, boiled eggs, anchovies, cucumbers, peanuts and spicy sambal. To answer her mother’s question about the fragrant rice, the daughter said, “Nasi le, mak!”, meaning “rice, mother!”. And that’s how the dish got its name.
