Did you know, Macher Teler Bora is a vada or a fried snack made of fish oil? This recipe is fairly simple, for this is a bora (vada) made with everyday ingredients such as grated coconut, onion, green chilies. rice flour and gram flour and a pinch of salt.   Narkeler Bora, literally translates to a fritter made of coconut. For this recipe, you can use either leftover grated coconut, or grate some fresh coconut. Mix everything well with other ingredients, and fry to perfection. You can eat it as a snack, or pair it with rice or curry. You are going to love this recipe.

  • 15 gram Coconut
  • 10 gram Green chilies
  • 6 gram Salt
  • 25 gram Sugar
  • 30 gram Flour
  • 15 gram Rice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nigella seeds

Steps To Prepare

  • STEP 1.Cut and grind the coconut and chop the green chilies. Grind the rice into powder and mix everything together.

  • STEP 1.Add black cumin and salt to the powdered mixture and combine everything. Mix with your hands till you have a binding consistency.
  • STEP 2.Divide into small portions and make tight discs or balls. You can give it any shape.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in pan, and deep fry the boras until golden

Storage And Serving Method

  • STEP 1.Serve hot as a side dish to rice and any curry.
