Narkel naru recipe is an integral part festive celebration, starting from “Durga puja” to “Bhai phota”. It is one of the most popular and beloved Bengali dessert recipes which is prepared every year in almost every Bengali household for vijaya dashami , deepavali and other auspicious occasions.

Ingredients for Narkel Naru/coconut laddoo Recipe

  • 1/10 Cup fresh grated Coconut
  • 0.07 Cup Sugar
  • 0.30 Tablespoon s soft Khoya
  • 1/25 Tsp Cardamom (crushed)
  • 1/4 g ghee ( clarified butter)
  • A Few Drops Color optional( I added rose pink edible color just to uplift festive mood)

Directions: Narkel Naru/coconut Laddoo Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Add 1 cup tightly packed grated coconut into a pan.
  • STEP 2.2. Add 2/3 cup sugar into the pan and mix it with hand.
  • STEP 3.3. Put the pan on low flame and stir it continuously.
  • STEP 4.4. When the sugar gets dissolved completely, add khoya into the pan and mix it well.
  • STEP 5.5. Stir it continuously until the mixture gets separated from the pan.
  • STEP 6.6. Switch off the flame immediately and add cardamom powder into it. Mix it immediately. You can add a few drops of edible food color at this point but that is totally optional.
  • STEP 7.7. Let the mixture come to room temperature.
  • STEP 8.8. Apply ghee in your hands and on a plate. Make lemon size narus or ladoos.
  • STEP 9.Serve fresh, to lighten up the festive season.
