  • 1/2 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1/2 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery
  • 2 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 5.50 Ws
  • 5.50 Ds
  • 1 tablespoon Raisins
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat ghee and add cashews, almonds, and raisins. Fry until golden brown and keep aside.
  • STEP 3.In the same pan, add grated coconut and sauté until it turns light golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add jaggery and water to the pan and cook until the jaggery melts and forms a syrup.
  • STEP 5.Add the soaked rice to the pan and mix well. Cook on low heat until the rice is cooked and the flavors are well combined.
  • STEP 6.Add cardamom powder and saffron strands to the rice and mix gently.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fried cashews, almonds, and raisins. Serve hot or cold.

  • Make sure to soak the rice before cooking to ensure even cooking and fluffy texture.
  • Adjust the sweetness according to your preference by adding more or less jaggery.
  • You can add a pinch of nutmeg powder for extra flavor.
