How to Make Nadan Chammanthi Podi Recipe

Cooking Directions


Dry roast 3 cups of grated coconut in a pan with 2 piece ginger, 6 shallots, 10 dry red chillies, 1 stem of curry leaves and a small piece tamarind.


Stir fry continuously. Now add 1 tbsp urad dal and a pinch of salt. Roast in a medium-low flame for 2-3 minute. Add 1 tbsp of pepper powder and chili powder. Stir continuously for another minute.


Turn off the flame and grind all the ingredients in a blender to obtain a grainy powder.
