Ingredients for Mutton Biryani Recipe

  • 62.50 gm Mutton
  • 0.38 cup basmati rice
  • 1/2 nos Egg
  • 1/4 cup Onion Sliced
  • 1/2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 nos bay leaf
  • 1 nos Cloves
  • 1/4 inch Cinnamon Stick
  • 1/2 nos Cardamom
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
  • 0.06 cup Curd
  • 0.06 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tbsp garam masala
  • 1/4 nos Nutmeg
  • As required Few javitri
  • As required Keora water
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • As required To taste salt

Directions: Mutton Biryani Recipe

  • STEP 1.Clean the mutton with salt and turmeric and set aside.
  • STEP 2.Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 3.Heat a pressure cooker and add ghee and oil.
  • STEP 4.Once the oil is heated add the whole garam spices one by one (Bay leaves, cloves, star anise, cardamom, cinnamon stick).
  • STEP 5.Add the sliced onions and fry till it is golden brown in color.
  • STEP 6.Add the ginger and garlic paste.Then add the mutton and give it a mix.
  • STEP 7.Now add the spice powders one by one (Turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, roasted cumin powder, garam masala).
  • STEP 8.Add the required salt and curd.
  • STEP 9.Give it a quick mix and add the 3 cups of water to it and pressure cook it for 6-8 whistles.
  • STEP 10.Once the pressure is settled remove the cooker lid and add the soaked basmati rice and close the lid and allow it to cook for another 2 whistles.
  • STEP 11.After 2 whistles switch off the flame and allow it to rest for 20 minutes.
  • STEP 12.Then you can open the pressure cooker and transfer the biryani to the serving plate.
  • STEP 13.Enjoy the biryani with raita or your favorite curry.
