  • 1/2 pinch A Saffron Strands Soaked In Tablespoons Of Warm Milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ghee

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water.
  • STEP 2.Marinate the meat with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and spices for at least 1 hour.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a large pot and add whole spices. Then add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add the marinated meat and cook until it is browned and tender.
  • STEP 5.In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and add the soaked rice. Cook until it is 70% done.
  • STEP 6.Layer the partially cooked rice over the meat in the pot. Sprinkle saffron-infused milk and ghee on top.
  • STEP 7.Cover the pot tightly and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fried onions and fresh herbs before serving. Serve hot with raita or a side salad.
