  • 62.50 grams rice flour.
  • 31.25 grams One full ripe muskmelon pulp - .
  • 1/2 tbsp Semolina - .
  • 12.50 grams Sugar - .
  • 1/4 tsp Green cardamom - .
  • As required Refined oil .
  • As required water .

Directions: Muskmelon Uttapam With Rice Flour Batter Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Take one full ripe muskmelon. Peel the skin and cut into pieces .Scoop out the seeds out of the individual pieces and throw away.
  • STEP 2.2. Grind the pieces of muskmelon and collect 125 grams of its pulp in a bowl and keep aside for further use .
  • STEP 3.3. After preparing the muskmelon for use, then proceed to the next step.
  • STEP 4.4. Take 2-3 green cardamoms and pound its seeds into a fine powder.
  • STEP 5.5. Take 250 grams of rice flour in a bowl and add 2 tbsp semolina to it .Add 125 grams of muskmelon pulp to it.
  • STEP 6.6.To it, again add 50 grams sugar, one teaspoon of green cardamom powder to it , to prepare a batter of rice flour, semolina and muskmelon pulp and keep aside for 25 minutes.
  • STEP 7.7. Whisk all the ingredients properly with the required amount of water till it reaches uttapam like batter consistency .
  • STEP 8.8.Then, proceed to make the uttapam .For that, heat a pan .When the pan gets heated, add one teaspoon refined oil to it .
  • STEP 9.9.Then pour a ladle full of uttapam batter in the center of the pan and spread it evenly on the pan with the backside of a ladle in a thick round shape and cover with a lid for one minute .
  • STEP 10.10.After one minute , remove the lid and flip the sides of the uttapam until done . When done, transfer to a plate and allow it to cool down and relish with sambar or chutney along with your family .
