Protein rich mushroom stir-fry in Kerala style. Mushroom Thoran Recipe is a Kerala style dry sabzi made with button mushrooms. Tossed is a lovely spice mix of whole spices like black peppercorns and cumin seeds along with some fresh coconut. Served best with some rasam, steamed rice and a dollop of ghee.

Ingredients for Mushroom Thoran Recipe
- 1.50 cup Chopped mushroom
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 No.s Chopped Onion
- 3 No.s Chopped green chilly
- 1/2 cup Grated coconut
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- As required Curry leaves a few
- As required Salt
- 2-3 tablespoon Oil

How to Make Mushroom Thoran Recipe

STEP 01
Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan and splutter ½ tsp of mustard seeds.

Add in chopped onion and green chillies. Saute till the onion turns tender and light brown.

Then add in chopped mushroom and stir cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add masala powder one by one into the pan. ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ¼ tsp black pepper powder and 1/4 tsp garam masala powder.

Next add ½ cup of grated coconut, a pinch of salt and curry leaves.

Mix the ingredients and cook covered on a medium heat for 2 minutes.

Turn off the flame and serve into a plate.
