  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon fennel / saunf
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin / jeera
  • 1/4 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ghee / clarified butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 No.s dried red chilli
  • As required A few curry leaves
  • 1/2 inch ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/4 No.s onion, sliced
  • 150 gram mushroom, sliced
  • 1/4 No.s capsicum, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How to Make Mushroom Pepper Fry Recipe

STEP 01

In a small mixer grinder take 1 tbsp of black pepper, ½ tsp of fennel, ½ tsp of cumin and ½ tsp of coriander seeds.

STEP 02

Blend to prepare a coarse powder without adding any water and keep it aside.

STEP 03

Now in a large pot, heat 2 tbsp of ghee, 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 2 dried red chilli and few curry leaves.

STEP 04

Add 1 inch ginger and ½ onion.

STEP 05

Saute until onions are cooked.

STEP 06

Add 300 grams of diced mushroom and stir fry on high flame.

STEP 07

Saute until mushrooms shrink slightly and moisture is released.

STEP 08

Then add ½ sliced capsicum and stir fry for 2 minutes.

STEP 09

Now add the prepared pepper masala powder and ½ tsp salt.

STEP 10

Mix well making sure all the spices are well coated.

STEP 11

Serve on a plate and enjoy.
