  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds

  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • As required Salt To Taste

  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Directions: Mushroom Masala(south Indian Style) Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Saute until they splutter.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions and saute until they turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and saute until the raw smell disappears.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
  • STEP 5.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add sliced mushrooms and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are cooked through.
  • STEP 7.Add water if needed to adjust the consistency of the gravy.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
  • For a creamier texture, you can add a tablespoon of fresh cream or coconut milk to the gravy.
