An easy quick mushroom snack recipe best suits with tea-time. Mushrooms sautéed with soft succulent onions, green chilies and spices. Low fat and a vegan recipe from the Goan Cuisine. This recipe of Mushroom fry is a Goan recipe. Not to be confused with the Indo Chinese Chilli Mushroom. So there is a sweetness from the onions and hint of warmth from the green chillies and spices.

Ingredients for Mushroom Fry Recipe

  • 200 gram Mushroom
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kasoori methi
  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 glass Water
  • 3/4 cup Bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoon Semolina
  • 2 tablespoon Corn flour
  • 1/2 liter Oil

Directions: Mushroom Fry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Slice mushroom. Grate a garlic. In a bowl add rice flour, red chilli powder, kashmiri red chilli powder and pepper powder. Add kasuri methi, grated garlic, salt and water. Mix well.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Prepare a dry mixture of bread crumbs, sooji & corn flour. First dip the sliced mushroom in rice flour mixture. Then cool it with bread crumbs mixture. Add oil in a kadai and heat it. Fry the mushroom for 5 minute at low flame.
