Mushrooms and capsicum cooked in a tangy tomato gravy. Mushroom curry is a simple sauce that can be composed from scratch at home. We need the combination of Oil and butter to cook mushroom curry but its not mandatory. This is an easy mushroom masala recipe that is delish punjabi style made with button mushrooms in a spiced onion-tomato gravy.

Ingredients for Mushroom Curry Recipe

  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 4 Garlic cloves finely chopped Nos
  • 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 Onion cut into chunks Nos
  • 1 Capsicum cut into chunks Nos
  • 200 gram Mushrooms halved
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required Chopped mint leaves

Directions: Mushroom Curry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a preheated pan add 1 tsp oil, 4 cloves finely chopped garlic, 1 inch ginger finely chopped, 1 onion cut into chunks, 1 capsicum cut into chunks. Saute until the onions are soft.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Add 200 gms mushrooms halved, 1 cup tomato puree, 1 tsp garam masala powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder and salt to taste. Mix well.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Saute till mushrooms are cooked. cover and bring to a boil for 2 to 3 minutes.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Lastly add finely chopped mint leaves and turn off the heat.
