Ingredients for Murukku from leftover rice Recipe

  • 1/2 Cups leftover rice
  • 1/2 Tsp Besan
  • As Required Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Sesame seeds
  • As Required Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp reen chilli paste
  • 1/4 Tsp Ajwain

Directions: Murukku From Leftover Rice Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take cooked rice.mash rice well.
  • STEP 2. then add all ingredients and make a like dough..
  • STEP 3.Let it sit for 10 minutes. Grease the chakli maker from inside. Grease the Chakli attachment "star" disc .
  • STEP 4.Now form a log out of the dough as thick as the chakli maker and place it inside the maker.
  • STEP 5.You will need a parchment paper or a tray ready for placing the chakli spirals.
  • STEP 6.Now roll the handle of the maker in a circular motion and extrude the dough making spirals.
  • STEP 7.Once the oil is heated, check by dropping a tiny dough piece. If it floats to the top immediately then the oil is too hot nd chaklis be crispy. The dough should float up gradually.
  • STEP 8.Fry the chaklis until golden brown..
