Ingredients for Muringikka Thoran Recipe

  • 1 cup Sliced drumstick
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chilly powder
  • 2 No.s Garlic
  • 4 No.s Green chillies
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup Grated coconut
  • As required Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 2 No.s Dry red chilly
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • As required Curry leaves a few
  • As required Oil

Directions: Muringikka Thoran Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add 1 tsp mustard seeds.

step 2

  • STEP 1.When mustard splutters add to the pan 2 sliced dry red chilly and a few curry leaves. Mix well.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Then add 4 green chilli split in half, 2 crushed garlic and 1 cup of chopped onion. Saute till the onion turns pale brown.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add 1 cup of sliced drumsticks, a pinch of salt, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp of chilli powder.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Pour in ½ cup of water and cook in a medium flame for 5-7 minutes covered.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Add in grated coconut of ¼ cup and stir well.

step 7

  • STEP 1.Cook in a low flame for 5 minutes covered with lid.

step 8

  • STEP 1.Turn off the flame and serve it.
