Ingredients for Murgh Nizami Recipe

  • 1/4 kg Chicken
  • 1/2 Pieces Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Pieces Onion
  • 3/4 tbsp Ginger and garlic paste
  • 6.25 gms Fried cashew nuts
  • 6.25 gms Fried almonds
  • 3/4 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup Yoghurt/ dahi
  • 1/4 tbsp chicken masala
  • 0.13 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 0.13 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tbsp Grated fresh coconut
  • 1 Pieces Cardamom
  • 25 gm Ghee
  • As Required Salt

Directions: Murgh Nizami Recipe

  • STEP 1.Mix yoghurt, ginger+garlic paste in Chicken and keep it in refrigerator for an hour.
  • STEP 2.Powder the cashew nuts and half of Almonds in a grinder.
  • STEP 3.Boil Tomatoes for 5 minutes and let it cool.
  • STEP 4.Grind boiled tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves and grated Coconut together.
  • STEP 5.In a kadhai or deep frying pan, heat the ghee and put in the cardamom.
  • STEP 6.When your hear it crackle, add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
  • STEP 7.Add remaining ginger and garlic paste and fry.
  • STEP 8.Add grounded tomato paste and saute.
  • STEP 9.Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, kashmiri chilli powder and chicken masala.
  • STEP 10.Add marinated chicken, cashew+ almond paste and dahi.
  • STEP 11.Stir for 1-2 minutes, coating the chicken and fry over a medium heat until most of the liquid evaporates and the ghee separates and is seen floating on top.
  • STEP 12.Add water and salt , cover the curry and cook until the chicken is done.
  • STEP 13.Garnish with the fried almonds and chopped coriander leaves.
