  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

  • STEP 1.Soak mung dal in water for 4-5 hours and then drain the water.
  • STEP 2.Grind the soaked dal into a coarse paste, adding a little water if needed.
  • STEP 3.Add cumin seeds, coriander leaves, red chili powder, salt, and asafoetida to the dal paste and mix well.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  • STEP 5.Take small portions of the dal mixture and drop them into the hot oil.
  • STEP 6.Fry the bada on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 7.Remove the fried bada from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  • STEP 8.Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.

  • Make sure to soak the mung dal for at least 4-5 hours to ensure it becomes soft and easy to grind.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
