  • 0.08 Bell Pepper, Sliced

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 375掳F (190掳C).
  • STEP 2.Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the Italian sausages. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  • STEP 3.While the sausages are cooking, heat another skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Add the sliced peppers and onions and cook until softened and slightly caramelized, about 8 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Slice the sausages lengthwise, but not all the way through, and open them up like a book. Place a slice of mozzarella and provolone cheese inside each sausage.
  • STEP 5.Place the sausages on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • STEP 6.While the sausages are baking, spread the hoagie rolls with mayonnaise or mustard, if desired.
  • STEP 7.Remove the sausages from the oven and place them on the hoagie rolls. Top with the saut茅ed peppers and onions.
