  • 0.83 En Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 0.67 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak moong dal in water for 4-5 hours and then grind it into a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Add salt, chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, and spices to the batter and mix well.
  • STEP 3.Heat a tawa or non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter onto it. Spread it in a circular motion to form a thin pancake.
  • STEP 4.Drizzle oil around the edges and cook on medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Flip the chilla and cook the other side until it becomes crispy and golden.
  • STEP 6.Remove from the pan and serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
  • STEP 7.For variation, you can also stuff the chilla with grated vegetables like carrots or paneer before flipping it.
