  • 1/4 cup Moong Dal
  • 1/2 cup Semolina
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds

  • 1.50 cup Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the moong dal for 30 minutes, then drain the water.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add curry leaves and green chilies.
  • STEP 3.Add the soaked moong dal and saut茅 for a few minutes. Then add semolina and roast until it turns golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add water, salt, and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook until the upma thickens.
  • STEP 5.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
