  • STEP 1.Soak moong dal in water for 2-3 hours, then drain the water.
  • STEP 2.In a blender, grind the soaked moong dal with ginger, green chilies, and a little water to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 3.Transfer the batter to a bowl and add grated vegetables, chopped onions, cilantro, and spices.
  • STEP 4.Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • STEP 5.Heat an appe pan and add a few drops of oil in each cavity.
  • STEP 6.Pour a spoonful of the batter into each cavity and cook on medium heat.
  • STEP 7.Flip the appe using a skewer or spoon and cook until golden brown on all sides.
