Ingredients for Moong dal katori pizza Recipe

  • 1 cup split moong dal (yellow lentils)
  • As required soaked overnight
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (capsicum)
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese (mozzarella or any cheese of your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 nos green chili
  • As required finely chopped (optional)
  • As required salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Oil for cooking
  • As required Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Directions: Moong Dal Katori Pizza Recipe

  • STEP 1.Drain the soaked moong dal and rinse it well.
  • STEP 2.In a blender, grind the moong dal to a smooth paste. Add a little water if necessary to make a thick batter. Add chopped onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, green chili, salt, red chili powder Mix everything well to combine evenly. Place the appe pan on medium heat and add a few drops of oil into each mold. Spread the moong dal batter mixture into each mold, filling them about 3/4 of the way. Allow them to cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown and crispy. Now add the chopped veggies inside the moong dal balls Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle grated cheese over each pizza Cover the pan with a lid and let the cheese melt for 1-2 minutes. Once the cheese has melted, remove the pizza bites from the appe pan and transfer them to a plate.
  • STEP 3.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • STEP 4.Serve hot with your favorite sauce or chutney.
