  • 1/4 cup Moong Dal
  • 1.25 En Chilies
  • 1/2 piece Small E Of Ginger
  • 1/2 Small Lemon Sized Tamarind
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Urad Dal
  • as required A Few Curry Leaves
  • pinch A Pinch Of Hing
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • as per your need Water As Needed

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak moong dal for 2 hours.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and grind the dal with green chilies, ginger, and tamarind to a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, and hing. Once the mustard seeds splutter, add the ground dal paste and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 4.Add salt and water to adjust the consistency of the chutney.
  • STEP 5.Remove from heat and let it cool. Serve the chutney with dosa, idli, or any other dish of your choice.
