  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine moong dal flour, rice flour, sesame seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, salt, and ghee.
  • STEP 2.Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a soft dough.
  • STEP 3.Take a portion of the dough and shape it into a cylindrical roll. Place the roll in a chakli maker and press it to form spiral-shaped chaklis.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chaklis until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 5.Remove the chaklis from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  • STEP 6.Allow the chaklis to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
  • STEP 7.Serve the Moong Chakli as a snack with tea or as a side dish with chutney or yogurt dip.
